Podcast: Today's Conveyancer

A month or so back I had the honour of sitting down with the fantastic David Opie of Today's Media for his Podcast "Today's Conveyancer" to discuss the wonderful subject of Brand.

He called the episode: "Branding is so much more than your logo". We talk about the wonderful world of brand-building, bust some brand myths and give some tips and tools people can deploy in their businesses immediately.

It was super fun to discuss the concepts of brand and contribute ideas on differentiation and the management of meaning in the legal category where this is not usually carefully considered.

Your brand should be

  • a story or narrative that your customers find interesting and exciting

  • something that your people can buy into and rally around

“And here’s the kicker” adds Matt, “it has to be true and it has to be authentic, because in today’s world you’ll get found out.”

In his work Matt asks 4 key questions of organisations.

  • What do you exist beyond making money

  • Who do we serve

  • How should we show up for them

  • What are we offering them
